DECADEX
Decadex is a self cleaning, highly durable, copolymer based coating which cures to form a tightly adherent, decorative weatherproof membrane. This high performance wall coating has a long international track record of effectiveness which spans 30 years.

Decadex applications can be guaranteed for up to 15 years and many examples have lasted well in excess of their anticipated durability. As a waterborne system, it is free from strong odour and toxic risk and may be cleaned from brushes and spray equipment using only clean water. The Decadex membrane will tolerate thermal movement in the substrate without splitting or cracking and will retain its elastomeric properties even after prolonged exposure to ultra-violet light.

It may be reinforced using Reemat glass fibre matting or Reemat Flexitape and is capable of bridging cracks or joints between different substrates. Available in a wide range of matt colours, Decadex's chemical and pollution-resistant surface has been specially engineered to shed dirt, ensuring that it retains a bright, attractive appearance throughout its life.

It is vapour permeable and allows entrapped substrate moisture to escape without causing blistering or delamination. Finally, it produces an effective barrier to carbon dioxide diffusion and therefore provides reinforced concrete with an excellent defence against the harmful effects of carbonation.

MONOLASTEX SMOOTH
Monolastex Smooth is a water based, weatherproof coating designed to keep long term costs to an absolute minimum. Suitable for use over all common substrates, both internal and external, it is certified by the BBA and, as a two coat application, lasts at least 15 years before its first maintenance. In many instances it may be used without primers and will cure extremely rapidly under normal conditions, often enabling two coats to be applied on the same working day. Available in a wide range of matt colours, it will obliterate even strong underlying colours due to its high opacity.

Furthermore, it contains an active fungistatic system which prevents the growth of mould, fungus and algae on its surface, and therefore retains a bright, clean appearance throughout its design life. Like Decadex, Monolastex Smooth will not embrittle with age or UV exposure, tolerates thermal movements in the substrate and, when applied over reinforced concrete, confers effective protection against carbonation.

MONOLASTEX TEXTURED
Monolastex Textured is a highly textured, flexible waterborne copolymer coating which produces a tough, waterproof coating suitable for internal and external applications. The textured film will not flake or chip but will allow high levels of entrapped substrate moisture to escape without causing blistering or delamination. The coating is rich in polymer and encapsulates the individual textured particles without leaving thin areas over the particle peaks - normally an area of weakness in conventional textured finishes.

The result is a flexible, hard-wearing finish with an attractive silk sheen. It is particularly well suited for hiding surface defects and may be used as a top coat as part of a reinforced system incorporating Reemat glass fibre matting or Reemat Flexitape. It may therefore be used over areas which are particularly susceptible to vibration or thermal movement.

MONOLASTEX RE
Monolastex RE is an exceptionally elastomeric, high build, waterborne coating designed to accommodate movement and cracking in structures. The coating is cured by exposure to the UV radiation present in sunlight, developing a surface skin which is relatively harder than the bulk of the coating beneath.

Thus, it has a hard wearing surface but the underlying coating is comparatively mobile, tolerating pronounced movement without cracking or splitting. Similarly, as more material is gradually exposed due to natural erosion, the hard surface is maintained. The coating dries rapidly to a matt finish and retains its elasticity both at very low temperatures and in extremes of heat, protecting substrates against weathering, water ingress and aggressive atmospheric chemicals. In addition, it also provides an effective barrier to carbonation when applied over reinforced concrete.

Monolastex RE exhibits excellent colour retention, has a dirt resistant surface and complies with international technical standards such as the French AFNOR P84 which requires high water vapour transmission, self priming capability and low temperature crack bridging properties.

SILCABOND SP
Silcabond SP is a single pack, water based silicate coating which, unlike traditional alternatives, may be used straight from the can without the need for diluents or other additives. On application, it reacts in situ to form a micro-crystalline chemical bond with unpainted mineral substrates such as concrete, brickwork or masonry - in effect, becoming an integral part of the substrate itself.

Based on inorganic mineral components, the system provides an aesthetic, hard wearing matt finish which is highly fire retardant, halogen free and exhibits ultra low smoke emission. Curing rapidly with virtually no odour, the coating forms an anti-condensation surface and is suitable for both internal and external use. In addition, it exhibits minimal dirt retention and incorporates a non-toxic fungistatic system to inhibit the growth of mould, algae and other micro-organisms.

It resists natural weathering, UV degradation and tolerates prolonged exposure to industrial pollutants without any loss of performance or durability. Similarly, it will withstand freeze/thaw cycling, and its very high vapour permeability enables damp substrates to dry out without causing blistering or delamination. Note: For additional protection against water ingress, porous surfaces may first be treated with K501. Alternatively, K501 may be applied over dry Silcabond SP. ISOCLAD PCM Isoclad PDF documents. (368k)
Isoclad PCM is a highly advanced waterborne, polyurethane based coating which is designed for the refurbishment of pre-coated metal cladding. It confers years of weatherproof, maintenance free protection whilst providing an attractive, hard-wearing, sheen finish which incorporates an anti-microbial system to combat the growth of unsightly mould on its surface.

As Isoclad PCM has low volatile organic content (VOC), it cures without the release of hazardous solvents or odour and also prevents many of the problems associated with moisture cure polyurethanes on the market, such as bubbling and pin-holing. Suitable for application to virtually all pre-coated cladding, including PVC Plastisol, it resists UV degradation and exhibits excellent colour retention. Available in a wide selection of colours specifically matched to those colours most often used on pre-coated metal cladding, special colours can also be produced to allow the replication of individual company corporate colours for example.

DECOTHANE CLEARGLAZE
Decothane Clearglaze is a clear aliphatic, polycarbonate polyurethane coating which forms an effective barrier to water penetration and the ingress of atmospheric chemicals. Its transparent finish renders it suitable for applications where it is desirable to retain the appearance of the underlying substrate. It is particularly suitable for protecting porous stone, decorative aggregate panels and brickwork against water penetration and subsequent frost damage. In addition, it provides an effective barrier to carbon dioxide diffusion, making it ideal for protecting reinforced concrete against carbonation.

Decothane Clearglaze has a high solids formulation which uses moisture to trigger the curing process but, unlike conventional moisture cured systems, will not foam when excess moisture is present. Consequently, it will continue to cure normally, even in wet conditions and therefore helps to keep contract time to a minimum. The cured membrane enhances natural substrate colours - producing a "wet look" finish which will not discolour with age or prolonged UV exposure. Decothane Clearglaze is also suitable for use as a waterproof, anti-shatter coating over glass and rooflights.

K501 MASONRY WATERPROOFING SOLUTION
Designed as a surface impregnating solution for porous substrates such as brick, masonry and concrete, K501 Masonry Waterproofing Solution is a water based silane siloxane compound with outstanding waterproofing properties and a high degree of durability. Once applied, it is virtually invisible and therefore allows the natural appearance and texture of the substrate to be maintained. It rapidly becomes water repellent and, as a further benefit, it also helps to reduce dirt retention on the surface.

In addition, it does not suppress the natural vapour permeability of the underlying material, so moisture is able to escape and the substrate is able to dry out. Consequently, it avoids the problems associated with entrapped moisture such as freeze/thaw attack. Furthermore, unlike conventional solutions which tend to form on the surface, K501 penetrates deeply into the substrate, and so remains largely unaffected by surface abrasion, weathering and UV induced deterioration. Similarly, it remains stable and is not prone to slow outward diffusion. As a result, it lasts longer and confers a greater degree of waterproof protection than traditional alternatives.
