MIX RATIO
After cleaning to remove heavy growth, apply undiluted to visible contamination. For areas of suspected contamination, dilute at a rate of 3 parts water to 1 of Biowash Concentrate.

Bonding Primer

MIX RATIO
4:1 (A:B) by weight and volume.

SOLIDS CONTENT
15% by volume when mixed.

MAXIMUM COVERAGE RATE
0.08 l./m² (12 m²/l.) on non-absorbent substrates.
0.125 l./m² (8 m²/l.) on prepared, dry concrete.
0.17 l./m² (6 m²/l.) or 2 coats, each at 0.08 l./m² on green, uncured, damp cementitious surfaces.
Note: Rough, porous, absorbent or undulating surfaces will inevitably increase the quantity of primer required.

DRY/CURE TIME
½ to 1 hour at 35° C.; 1½ to 2 hours at 20° C.; 2½ to 3½ hours at 5° C. (Note: Very high humidity will increase drying time by 1 to 2 hours.)

OVERCOAT TIME
1 to 2 hours at 35° C.; 2½ to 3½ hours at 20° C.; from 4 hours at 5° C. (Note: Coatings should be applied when the primer has cured. As noted above, curing may be retarded in conditions of high humidity. Application should take place within 7 days - ideally within 24 hours; any further delay will require a further coat of primer. However, when overcoating with Sterisheen, the primer should ideally be allowed to cure for at least 6 hours.)

Epoxy Metal Primer

SOLIDS CONTENT
87% by volume (mixed).

MAXIMUM COVERAGE RATE
0.125 l./m² (8.0 m²/l.). Note: Rough or undulating surfaces will inevitably increase the quantity of primer required.

DRY/CURE TIME
6 hours touch dry; 20 hours through dry; 7 days full cure at 20° C. High humidity may retard curing.

OVERCOAT TIME
Minimum of 16 hours (usually overnight). Coatings should be applied within 2 days for high demand applications, and within 7 days for all other applications. Any further delay will require a further coat of primer.

PACK SIZES
5 litre composite (2.5 litre pigmented base in a 5 litre tin and 2.5 litre activator in a 2.5 litre tin).

Aqueous Metal Primer

½ hour at 20° C.; 1 ½ hours at 2° C. High humidity may retard curing.

OVERCOAT TIME
Minimum ½ hour, ideally within 24 hours; maximum 7 days. If the primer is left longer than 7 days and the surface is dry and undamaged, clean the surface and reprime.

Tiecoat Sealer

SOLIDS CONTENT
38% by volume.

MAXIMUM COVERAGE RATE
0.2 l./m² (5 m²/l.). Tiecoat Sealer should be applied as a “flood coat.” Complete surface wetting is essential. Note: Rough, porous, absorbent, highly oxidised or undulating surfaces will inevitably increase the quantity of Tiecoat Sealer required.

DRY/CURE TIME
1 to 2 hours in dry conditions at 20° C followed by a hardening period. Tiecoat Sealer may exhibit a patchy appearance on drying due to differences in absorption across the substrate. High humidity may retard curing.

OVERCOAT TIME
Overnight, ideally within 2 days; 7 days maximum. If the primer is left longer than 7 days, apply a further coat of Tiecoat Sealer.
